Background
From an early age, Peter has had a keen interest in business and worked in a family owned business environment. Peter's involvement gave him "hands on" experience in a variety of businesses which include steel and fiberglass fabrication, marine and trailer manufacturing and sales, operation of a small loan portfolio and the development of commercial real estate.
Peter then decided to combine this work experience with his education and experience as a CA to assist clients in creating and implementing financial and business solutions.
Peter completed his formal training to become a CA with one of the then "big eight" accounting firms. After emigrating to Canada in 1994 from South Africa, Peter returned to public practice and focused on a wide variety of assurance and consulting assignments for clients. Peter is one of the founding members of the UHY LDMB Advisors Inc. and continues to serve the owner managed business sector.
Experience in Canada for assurance services includes the audits of companies in the real estate, high tech and manufacturing industries. In addition to these audits, assurance services have also been provided for Legal and Real Estate Trust Audits. Peter's business clients trust him with their annual Review Engagements and this activity represents a substantial portion of Peter's work for his growing client base.
