- Andre's clients are involved in a broad range of industries including real estate, manufacturing and processing, wholesale distribution, oil and gas activities and professional services
Background
Andre grew up in Edmonton, Alberta. After graduating from high school he attended Harvard University, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts (cum laude) degree in 1970. While attending Harvard he was a member of the Harvard hockey program. Upon graduation, Andre attended the University of Alberta from 1970 - 1972 in the Master of Sciences program in Computer Science. Before completing this degree he was hired by the Alberta Provincial Government as a computer system analyst. After 3 years in this position Andre entered the Chartered Accountants program in 1975 and became a Chartered Accountant in 1977. Andre spent 19 years with Ernst and Young (formerly Clarkson Gordon) in the Edmonton, Alberta and Vancouver, British Columbia offices. Most of this time was in the tax practice, as tax manager in 1980 and tax partner from 1982 to 1993.
In 1994 Andre established his own tax consulting practice. In 1998 this practice formed part of the initial UHY LDMB Advisors Inc. firm in Langley, British Columbia.
